• To raise in excess of £100,000 for charity

• Start / finish Salcombe, Devon, circumnavigate mainland UK in a clockwise direction, finishing back in Salcombe

• Total Distance 2,000 miles approx.

• Timings Start 1st June 2008 to Late August 2008

• Boat Hobie Pacific 18 Foot – Twin Trapeze with Wings and Asymmetric

• The Crew 6 in total; Skipper and Crew for Hobie, Skipper and crew for support RIB and 2 shore based crew to run caravan and prepare meals

• Average daily distance to be sailed 40 miles

• Acceptable Wind conditions Force 1 to Force 5

• Average anticipated boat speed 7 Knots

• Maximum anticipated boat speed 22-25 knots
